Job Overview
We are seeking a new Vice President of Utilities to join our team at Ardmore Roderick. In this role, you will be responsible for leading all strategic and tactical efforts and spearheading the operations, growth, profit and sustainability of the Utilities sector. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about leading our team of Utilities experts and solving our current and future client needs. This ideal candidate will be based out of the Houston, TX area.
Key Responsibilities
Provides oversight of financial statements and operational processes, evaluating and standardizing operational processes and ensuring the utilities sector's profitability to meet or exceed annual budgetManages a business unit consisting of engineers, technicians and administrative personnelProvides accurate forecasting of department financial and staffing goalsCollaborate with other Ardmore Roderick leaders to support the company’s goals and initiatives including utilizationMonitor performance metrics and ensure compliance with industry standardsDevelops and fosters nationwide growth by identifying opportunities with existing and new clients coupled with sustainable workflowLead pursuit strategy for key client accounts and new potential clientsDevelops team members by mentoring, cultivating relationships and leading with integrityMonitors team performance to ensure group’s compliance to quality, contract scopes, schedules, budgets and proceduresIdentifies unique growth and innovation opportunities within the sectorParticipates in the RFP / RFQ process including leading scope development, preparation of project approach, technical execution plans, schedules and interviewsBe collaborative with other Ardmore Roderick business lines that might create cross selling opportunities that drive the bottom line for our overall business profitabilityRequired Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering and / or businessPossess expertise in leading the identification and capture of new clients at a national levelMinimum of ten (10) years of proven experience in a similar leadership roleDirect experience managing the P&L for a nationwide divisionAdvanced knowledge of the electric, gas or water utility industryHave a diverse background that has spent time in different roles with both consulting and utility provider organization experienceHave a passion for growing and mentoring team members, creating an environment that fosters strong team growth and collaboration with exceptional problem-solving skills for our client’s needsPreferred Qualifications
Advanced degree(s)Knowledge of electrical, gas or water transmission and / or distribution design and constructionBenefits

Salary Range : $235,200-259,640, Ardmore Roderick is providing the compensation range that the company believes it might pay and / or offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
