Today, we are a leading not-for-profit agency employing 1000+ staff and providing over 70 program sites in Nassau and Suffolk. ACLD (Adults and Children with Learning and Developmental Disabilities, Inc.) is looking for a seasoned, dynamic Residential Manager to direct the day-to-day operations of an adult residential group home.

The ideal candidate can manage diverse duties and multiple priorities; and is able to maintain effective relationships with people supported, families, staff, and other internal / external departments. Candidate should have strong initiative, excellent problem solving skills and the ability to be creative, while managing multiple priorities in a busy residence.

This is a full-time position and requires flexibility in work schedule including at least one evening and one early morning shift per week and weekend hours. Position is also required to be on-call.

Responsibilities :

§ Promote a positive and productive work environment

§ Hire, train and coach all direct care employees including Assistant Manager

§ Promote ACLD’s values and strategic vision

§ Develop and manage Individual Service Plans and Plans of Protection / Behavior Support Plans

§ Ensure oversight of Health & Fire Safety

§ Manage crisis situations and behavioral issues as the needs arise

§ Manage budgets and ensure sound fiscal management procedures are being followed

§ Ensure accurate documentation and service billing is complete and submitted in a timely fashion

§ Diligent in complying with OPWDD and ACLD policies, rules and regulations

We require :

§ High School Diploma; Bachelor’s Degree preferred

§ Two years experience working in I / DD field

§ One year supervisory experience

§ Strong managerial skills and written and verbal communication skills

§ Clean and valid New York driver’s license

§ Strong Microsoft Office computer skills
