General Manager – Events, Venues & Facilities

Location : Chicago

Salary : 150,000–160,000 Performance Bonuses

Are you a strategic, energetic leader with a passion for events and operational excellence? If so I may have the right role for you, in revitalizing a stunning venue overlooking Lake Michigan. This purpose-built, 10-story facility is powered by 100% renewable energy and hosts a wide range of corporate, nonprofit, and social events.

I am looking for a General Manager to lead the team and the building itself in revenue growth through hosting events and facilities. You’ll be at the helm of a dynamic space that includes museum floors, administrative offices, and versatile event areas for up to 600 guests.

Role :

  • Drive business growth and develop strategic sales plans
  • Lead and inspire a 10-person team across operations, sales, AV, IT, and security
  • Oversee event planning, client experience, and facility upgrades
  • Manage budgets, vendor relationships, and ensure top-tier service delivery
  • Reimagine how the venue can look ad be different
  • Attract new clients and revenue

Experience :

  • Proven leadership in event venues, hospitality, or related industries
  • Strong financial, operational, and team management skills
  • Visionary thinking with humility, empathy, and a collaborative spirit
  • Experience in growing businesses and enhancing client experiences
  • Strong facilities management experience
