General Laborer

Saw Operator / General Laborer / Forklift Operator

This role begins with a comprehensive 2-3 day training period in the Shipping department to understand the daily operations. Post-training, you will transition to your designated position, which may include Saw Operating, General Labor, or Forklift Operating.

Responsibilities

• Pull materials to place on the saw.
• Work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Read tape measures accurately.
• Perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Lift up to 50 lbs consistently.
• Train and become certified on a forklift.

Work Environment

The work environment is clean and well-lit, promoting safety and efficiency. Expect to be on your feet for 8 hours a day, with a lot of lifting and repetitive tasks. The busiest period is between 2-5 : 30pm when shipments depart. The role offers two shifts : 1st Shift from 6am-2 : 30pm, and 2nd Shift, currently from 10am-5 : 30pm, with a goal to eventually shift to 1pm-9 : 30pm, Monday to Friday.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Loves Park, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00 / hr.
