Job Summary :
The Banquet Manager ensures a smooth, efficient, and financially sound operation of the event center. Supervise the Banquet Supervisor and staff in accordance with company policies and procedures. Development and growth of associates, revenue, and profit. Prepare and issue progressive discipline, evaluations and conduct staff meetings. Maintain a strong communication relationship with the Sales & Catering Department. Assists in casino Food & Beverage operations, which include but not limited to; casino floor beverage servers, casino floor bar, Sports Bar FOH operations, Blue Square Cafe operations, Buffet operations and any tasks assigned. This position's starting salary is $56,250.
Essential Functions :
- Direct the activities of daily operations of front-line staff / unit personnel as required; evaluate performance, coordinate scheduling of personnel to provide adequate staffing, instruct employees on policies, procedures, duties; handle disciplinary matters.
- Responsible for all aspects of the event from conception, planning, inter-department communications for execution of the event and post event follow-up. Work in unison with Sales and Catering manager to ensure events are well organized and event contact is pleased with the operation.
- Develop and maintain a service culture that ensures the delivery of superior internal / external guest service by all team members.
- Prepare various operational reports; keep records pertaining to purchases, sales and requisitions. Ensures product quality. Controls food & labor costs.
- Use of multiple varieties of chemicals and ware washing devices.
- Operate in mentally and physically stressful situations.
- Operates Powered Equipment
- All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications :
High School DiplomaSome College or equivalent experienceKnowledge and experience monitoring food / beverage, labor costs, and inventory control. Experience with ordering and inventory procedureKnowledge of all bar equipment usage, Alcohol Beverage Control regulations, and gaming lawsMinimum 1 year of experience in catering and conference center event execution or public facility management with a strong background in decor, banquet food production and ability to effectively engage in sales lead generation.ServSafe Certification (preferred)Knowledge of basic accounting proceduresExcellent organizational and multi-tasking skillsAbility to coach, develop, and train othersKeen Decorating abilityVerbal CommunicationWritten CommunicationPhysical Requirements :
