We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team and support the financial health of our growing operations.
Position Summary
The accountant will play a critical role in overseeing the day-to-day financial operations of WA Frost. This individual will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable / receivable, preparing financial reports, supporting payroll, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and comfortable working in a dynamic hospitality environment.
- Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records including general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and journal entries.
- Process and monitor accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Collaborate with management to develop budgets and forecasts.
- Oversee payroll processing in coordination with HR or external providers.
- Monitor cash flow and reconcile daily sales reports with POS system.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations and tax filings.
- Assist in annual audits and work closely with external accountants.
- Track inventory and cost of goods sold in coordination with kitchen and bar managers.
- Implement and maintain internal controls and financial policies.
- Provide financial insights to support operational and strategic decisions.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, or related field3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in hospitality or restaurant industryProficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Restaurant365, or similar)Strong Excel skills and ability to analyze complex financial data.Knowledge of POS systems and restaurant financial operations is a plus.Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skillsStrong communication and interpersonal abilities.Preferred Qualifications
CPA or working toward CPA designation.Experience with restaurant inventory systems and cost analysisFamiliarity with payroll systems such as ADP or Paychex
