Grounds Foreman

GROUNDS FOREMAN for Landscape Construction Company Must have 2 years of experience : Supervises workers for commercial and residential hardscape and softscape areas. Confers with manager, Keeps employee time records, and daily work logs. Interviews, hires, and discharges workers. Plans landscaping tasks, crew and equipment requirements. Trains and assigns workers tasks, such as planting, fertilizing, irrigating, mowing and pruning of trees and shrubbery. Trains and directs workers in landscaping tasks, such as transplanting and pruning, using equipment, and caring for turf. Operating and maintenance of tractors or backhoes, using attachments, to till, dig, cultivate, grade, spray fertilizer or herbicide, mow, or remove snow. Directs workers in maintenance and repair of driveways, walks, hedges, swings, benches, and other outdoor features. Observes ongoing work to ascertain if work is being performed according to instructions and will be completed on time. $32 per hr, full time.
