Precision Metrology Inspector & CMM Programmer

What your day looks like

Step onto the surface plate, pick up your micrometers, and start your day validating complex machined parts against blueprint requirements. You’ll program and run the CMM for First Article, in‑process, and final inspections, build custom operator gages, and translate GD&T into actionable measurement strategies. Throughout the day you’ll collaborate with engineering, quality, and manufacturing to keep customer deadlines on track and product quality uncompromised.

Role highlights

• Own dimensional inspections using surface plate methods and advanced metrology tools.
• Program / operate CMM equipment for First Article Inspections (FAI) and routine checks.
• Create, verify, and maintain gages; confirm critical dimensions.
• Interpret complex blueprints and apply GD&T rigorously.
• Document findings clearly in English; work independently without close supervision.
• Support an ISO 9001 / AS9100-compliant quality system; contribute to continuous improvement.
