Responsibilities Work in an acute inpatient rehabilitation unit Patient population includes stroke, brain injury, and spinal cord injury cases Required to float to medical-surgical units as needed Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 00 AM Weekend coverage required every other weekend Patient ratios are 1 : 5 on days and 1 : 12 on nights Utilizes Hoyer Lift and Sit to Stand lift equipment Epic EMR experience is required Role involves care for patients with neurological and spinal injuries First-time travelers are accepted for this contract Limited block scheduling may be accommodated but is not guaranteed No more than 1 week of requested time off will be approved per contract Return staff must have a one-year gap since prior employment at the facility Up to 5 hours of paid modules must be completed prior to start Dress code and further onboarding requirements will be specified during orientation Requirements Active NY RN license required at the time of application Current American Heart Association BLS certification required Minimum of 1 year acute rehab hospital experience Strong experience with CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident) patients required Epic charting experience is required Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are not eligible Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-625515.
