We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Control Engineer to join our client's engineering team. You'll be responsible for creating and reviewing wiring schematics, layout diagrams and Bills of Materials in support of customer submittal packages, fabrication, and equipment installation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field
- Experience designing control panels to UL508A standards
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN (migrating to EPLAN)
- Hands-on experience with SCADA systems and PLC-based control architectures
- Strong understanding of power distribution systems and motor controls
- Working knowledge of circuit protection , including fusing and breaker selection
- Experience with low voltage electrical systems (typically 24VDC and 120VAC)
- Direct involvement in fabrication, testing, and / or commissioning of control panels
- Design and develop electrical control panel schematics, layouts, and BOMs
Key Responsibilities
Ensure all panel designs meet UL508A and other applicable industry standardsSupport panel assembly, wiring, functional testing, and troubleshootingParticipate in commissioning activities, both in-house and on customer sitesUse Computer Aided Design to prepare drawings for customer approval and for fabricationAssemble submittal packages, installation, and maintenance manuals, and develop drawing sets, component specifications and BOMs to be reviewed by electrical engineer and / or customerReview customer specification, interpret requirements and provide support for proposal preparation and implementation of projectsDevelop programming for PLC and other similar components to operate mechanical and / or process components in accordance with the sequence of operationsInterface with Purchasing, Planning and Panel Shop and Installation personnel to communicate requirements and to assist with installation / construction issues including preparation and / or review of Installation, Operations and Maintenance manualsAbility to travel up to 20%Seniority level
