The posted compensation range of $26.45 - $34.68 / hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.

Performs basic patient care / support functions under direction of Provider and within scope of licensure / certification. Basic patient care includes preparing patients for Provider, obtaining and recording vital signs and patient information, performing basic lab and phlebotomy procedures, and other similar tasks within scope of certification. An incumbent also performs front and back office duties, such as scheduling appointments, maintaining inventories, and cleaning / preparing exam rooms.

Incumbents are also accountable for maintaining the confidentiality of all medical information and adhering to department and hospital safety, risk management, standard precautions standards, policies and procedures related to the assigned Clinic Practice. If assigned to the centralized FMG Float Pool, an incumbent provides patient care services to the assigned clinic / work unit as needed to meeting staffing needs. Requires frequent driving to assigned location(s).

The incumbent oversees the work of staff in the absence of management, and assists in planning, and organizing the Medical Assistant-Clinic employees. The work requires knowledge of the policies, procedures and equipment applicable to the work unit.

Educational Requirements : High School Graduate or High School GED and completion of a Medical Assistant certification program at an accredited institution or validation of equivalent military training (i.e. Hospital Corpsman) that demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge skills / abilities.

License & Certification Requirements : Medical Assistant Certification : WA (MAC : WA) - upon hire Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR) through the American Heart Association - within first 30 days of hire date
