Test Engineer

Test Engineer

Job Purpose :

Designs, develops, and implements cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting systems and equipment. Prepares test and diagnostic programs, designs test fixtures and equipment, and completes specifications and procedures for new products. Plans the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating standard and special devices.

Nature of Duties / Responsibilities :

• Work with customers to develop cost-effective test solutions and troubleshoot systems and miscellaneous equipment.
• Manage quoting and purchasing of test systems.
• Manage project schedules related to test development, working with the customer focus team and customer counterparts.
• Implement test systems and validate them to regulatory requirements such as FDA and automotive standards.
• Develop test processes for production based on customer specifications.
• Maintain test equipment, including overseeing calibration and preventative maintenance.
• Develop and implement training for test operators and maintenance personnel.
• Work to improve processes and reduce costs.
