The single point of contact for technical problem resolution. Respond to all IT support requests in a timely and professional manner while maintaining communication with end users.
Essential Job Duties
Provide remote technical support online, over the phone or through remote access.
Offer technical assistance on the delivery, configuration, set up, maintenance, and troubleshooting of IT systems.
Follow all operational procedures and document all pertinent information, communication, and resolution in the support tickets.
Answer questions regarding system procedures, online transactions, systems statuses, and downtime procedures.
Collaborate with IT and business partners to restore service and / or identify recurring problems.
Manage the escalation and communication for more complex support issues.
Aid and mentor new team members.
Participate in process improvement initiatives.
Review and update knowledge documents.
Provide an escalation point for service desk analysts.
Assume other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Not responsible for supervising employees.
Minimum Requirements
Education & Experience
Associate's Degree or equivalent experience.
2+ years of related experience.
Preferred Requirements
A+ or Network + Certification.
ITIL foundation.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs.
Demonstrate use of computer operations (programming, relational databases, and operating systems) and software packages.
Regularly uses moderately complex oral and written skills. May train others in functional areas, interact with others, and make presentations to departments or middle management.
Problems encountered are routine, somewhat repetitive, and generally solved by following clear directions and procedures.
Decisions generally affect own job or assigned functional area.
Results are defined; sets personal own goals and determines how to achieve results with few or no guidelines to follow; supervisor / manager provides broad guidance and overall direction.
Handle multiple tasks or projects simultaneously with moderate complexity.
Essential Physical Demands / Work Environment
Work is primarily sedentary : must be able to sit for extended periods of time and use a computer, keyboard, and mouse, frequently.
Travel may be required periodically, including overnight stays (contingent on position requirements).
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
