Responsibilities Work in an Emergency Department with occasional float to Med Surg units at three CentraCare campuses Patient population includes both adults and pediatrics in a critical access hospital setting Day and night shifts available : 3x12 hours (07 : 00-19 : 30 & 19 : 00-07 : 30), flexible scheduling Weekend shifts required, averaging 6 weekends per 13-week contract Nurse to patient ratios : 1 : 4 during days, 1 : 6 during nights Floating required within scope to all assigned CentraCare locations Charting is completed using Epic EMR Responsibilities include patient care in the Emergency Department and float coverage on Med Surg units as needed Holiday coverage may be required based on unit needs All staff must wear black scrubs Free parking is available in the main lot Medical or religious exemption forms are accepted for vaccinations Travelers must be financially responsible for travel arrangements needed for in-person fingerprinting requirements Return to assignment as a traveler requires being gone at least nine months from prior permanent employment with the health system No more than 10 days of requested time off (RTO) allowed per assignment, and no RTO in the first week Requirements Active MN RN license or proof of application (pending acceptable); MN is not a Compact state Current certifications : BLS and ACLS, TNCC required Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department and 1 year of Med Surg nursing experience required Experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias required General emergency department experience with both adult and pediatric populations required OB experience preferred Fingerprinting in MN and lab work must be completed within 48 hours of signing Must not live within 50 miles of any assigned facility First-time travelers are accepted Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-619973.
