Overview

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting multiple Pharmacists to support the Phoenix VA Health Care System (PVAHCS) primarily located at 650 East Indian School Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85012. The schedule is typically either days or overnight shifts. If you accept employment with Ansible, you must also acknowledge that any assigned schedule is subject to change at the direction of either Ansible or its customers.

Responsibilities

• Dispense medications prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners.
• Provide patient education on medication use, side effects, and interactions.
• Advise providers on drug selection, dosage, interactions, and side effects.
• Evaluate medication orders for duplications, incompatibilities, and allergies.
• Identify and address therapeutic issues, such as incorrect dosage or strength.
• Recommend alternative therapies in line with VA formulary guidelines.
• Counsel patients on prescription drugs and durable medical equipment.
• Maintain professional communication with patients, providers, and staff.
• Enter and verify medication orders in the VA’s electronic health record system (VistA).
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations for controlled substances.
• Maintain strict security and inventory control for all medications.

Requirements

Must be a graduate of an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE)-accredited College or School of Pharmacy.
