DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Clinical Dietitian, you will engage in direct care activities with the residents of Torrance State Hospital by completing nutritional assessments in order to best serve the needs of each individual. Specific duties entail providing support and counseling to consumers surrounding nutritional needs and participating in treatment team meetings to discuss and develop appropriate nutritional care for each consumer. You will also be responsible for maintaining detailed records and notating dietary guidelines or restrictions in each consumer's medical chart, in addition to developing and evaluating educational materials to be utilized during therapeutic programming. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential, as you will be tasked with planning , teaching, and evaluating nutritional care programs for consumers, as well as providing educational material to staff, family support systems, and various branches throughout the community.

Work Schedule and Additional Information :

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 7 : 30 AM to 3 : 30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

Schedule is subject to change based upon operational needs.
