Job Summary :

At All Star Purchasing, we build strategic sourcing programs that deliver meaningful savings and value to our member companies. As a Senior Purchasing Agent , you will be the go-to expert for one or more product categories, leading supplier negotiations, executing purchasing strategies, and supporting our member companies through exceptional procurement leadership. This role manages the supply base for assigned categories and serves as the subject matter expert in sourcing and supplier relationship management.

General Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Functions

Negotiates and implements new business opportunities with suppliers.

Manages day-to-day business and addresses opportunities such as billing, account set up, member feedback, etc.

Develop category strategies and supplier programs that drive savings for the Association.

Negotiates contracts and pricing with suppliers.

Manages projects and communicates internally to gather information and assist with member requests.

Analyzes Purchasing Assessment data and proposes strategies.

Prepare and lead supplier business reviews with clear action plans and follow-ups.

Represent All Star with professionalism and credibility in supplier and member engagements.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Education : Bachelor's degree in a business-related field is preferred.

Certifications and Trainings : Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) is preferred.

Experience : Minimum of 3 years of purchasing or supply chain experience.

Availability and Travel :

This position must be available for nights and weekends in additional to normal business hours, able to respond to calls in emergency situations, and able to travel for multiple days at a time.
