Compensation : $120K base (plus bonus and commissions)

Travel requirements : 25-50%

Position Description : Yugo seeks a dynamic, results-driven Senior Business Development Executive to spearhead our growth in the student housing sector. You will be the driving force in developing strategic partnerships, negotiating complex deals, and representing our brand in the market. Ideal candidates will blend best-in-class networking skills, deep student housing expertise, and a proven track record for executing multifaceted deals with industry stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Network Building & Relationship Management

Proactively identify, establish, and nurture high-value relationships with student housing owners, property managers, universities, and industry service partners.

  • Represent the company at conferences, networking events, and industry forums, serving as a brand ambassador and thought leader.
  • Leverage personal and company networks to open new business opportunities and sustain long-term partnerships.
  • Complex Deal Origination and Execution
  • Lead negotiations and close multifaceted partnership and management agreements—including university contracts, developer partnerships, and collaborations with institutional stakeholders.

  • Navigate and resolve challenges in the deal process, ensuring successful execution and alignment with company goals.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to prepare market analyses, financial proformas, proposals, operational reviews, and contractual documents.
  • Business Development Strategy
  • Research and analyze industry trends, competitive landscapes, and market opportunities to develop actionable growth strategies.

  • Create and deliver compelling presentations, pitches, and proposals tailored to varied audiences (executives, universities, investors).
  • Design and execute weekly / monthly sales strategies, including targeted outreach, curated campaigns, and lead-generation activities.
  • Thought Leadership & Industry Expertise
  • Publish and present thought-leadership insights, such as market narratives, white papers, and executive summaries.

  • Maintain deep, current knowledge of student housing trends, public-private partnerships, and finance.
  • Contribute to new service offerings and enhance value propositions for CampusAdv.com.
  • Qualifications & Experience

  • Education :
  • Bachelor’s in business, finance, real estate, or a related field is preferred; equivalent industry experience considered.

  • Experience :
  • Minimum 3+ years in business development, sales, asset management, or client services within student housing, multifamily, or university real estate sectors.

  • Demonstrable record of closing complex, high-value deals (include quantified examples when applying).
  • Proven ability to build and maintain a robust network of industry contacts, with active involvement in student housing organizations or conferences.
  • Experience with CRM systems and data-driven sales management.
  • Skills :
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities.

  • Strategic thinker with strong project management and analytical skills.
  • Self-motivated, collaborative, and goal-oriented.
  • Comfortable with public speaking and frequent travel.
