job_description.job_card.job_descriptionAbility to follow work instructions by maintaining specifications, by observing milling, turning, drilling, tapping, grooving and cutting operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes. Ability to perform routine maintenance. Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs. Ability to read blueprints and inspect parts. Check accuracy of work against blueprints. Ability to read mics, calipers, OD’s, tool pre- setting / comparators, dial bore gauges and make proper tooling offsets in the machine tool, as well as proper speeds & feeds. Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas. 3-5 years of CNC Machine operating / set-up experience. Background of machining of castings, iron castings preferred. Previous lathe and milling experience preferred. Lean manufacturing experience is a plus. Associate degree from a 2-year college or technical school. Or 2-3 years of related experience and / or training; equivalent combination of education & experience.
