Safety and Regulatory Compliance Coordinator

POSITION DESCRIPTION

SAFETY & REGULATORY COMPLIANCE COORDINATOR

The Safety and Regulatory Compliance Coordinator is responsible for implementing, coordinating, and improving the regulatory compliance program for Northeastern REMC. This position ensures adherence to federal, state, and local safety regulations—particularly OSHA standards—and oversees all related documentation, training, and reporting.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Required :

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Program Management, or a related field. Equivalent education / experience may be considered.
• Valid driver's license.
• 3-5 years of safety and regulatory compliance experience, preferably in the utility or electric cooperative industry.
• Certified Safety Professional within 3 years.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to stand, walk, bend, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds. Visual acuity and precise overall motor skills are needed. Exposure to outdoor environments, including inclement weather conditions such as heat, humidity, rain, and cold.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Full-time hours that occur regularly in business operating hours of Monday- Friday, 7 : 30 AM-4 : 00 PM, and occasionally after normal business hours. Primarily work inside the office; however, there is some outside work. Can travel to meetings, including overnight, outside of NREMC service area.
