Position Summary
This position is represented by Engineers and Scientists of California (ESC) subject to collective bargaining.
This position is the fully experienced, skilled level Engineering Technician who will work in our high-voltage electrical lab, pressure, mechanical and dimensional, and temperature laboratory.
PG&E is providing the hourly rate range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the timeofthe job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual hourly rate paid to anindividualwill be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses orcertifications,experience, market value, geographic location, collective bargaining agreement, and internalequity.
Under the terms of the collective bargaining agreement, the hourly rate range for this position is $56.94 to $63.03,subject to collectively bargained wage increases.
Job Responsibilities
Under direction or supervision of an employee in a higher classification, performs laboratory and field assignments including dielectric testing, maintenance and repairs, calibration, and investigation on a wide variety of material and equipment.
Performs other investigative work as directed. Prepare reports on results of investigations. May be required to perform tests in the field without direct supervision if task qualified and may direct the work of other employees
Independently operate flow loops to perform flowmeter calibrations
Qualifications
Minimum :
Associate degree in electronics, mechanical or similar discipline; or its equivalent in education and experience in performing calibration
Two years of experience performing calibration
Desired :
Experience with work procedure scripting
Experience with Digital / Analog measurement and test equipment.
Applied experience with fundamentals of AC and DC electronics
