Cochran's Union, Missouri headquarters' location, is looking for a Project Engineer- Water / Wastewater Division to join our team.
Position Summary :
We are seeking a Project Engineer with experience in water and wastewater infrastructure projects to join our team. The ideal candidate has a solid foundation in design and project coordination, holds an EIT certification , and is either actively pursuing or recently earned their Professional Engineer (PE) license .
Key Responsibilities :
- Support and lead water / wastewater engineering projects from planning and design through construction
- Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, design plans, and specifications
- Assist in project management tasks, including budgeting, scheduling, and client coordination
- Conduct field investigations and site visits as needed
- Ensure projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior staff
- Review and respond to RFIs, submittals, and contractor inquiries during construction
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental EngineeringEIT certification requiredPE license preferred, or actively pursuing PE licensure3–6 years of relevant experience in water and wastewater design and constructionProficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and / or other relevant design softwareStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a collaborative teamPreferred Experience :
Municipal or utility client experienceFamiliarity with permitting processes and regulatory agencies (e.g., EPA, DNR)Hydraulic modeling software (e.g., WaterCAD, SewerCAD)Benefits :
