Day in the Life of an Associate Industrial Engineer
We are looking for curious, adaptable, and self-driven individuals with a passion to innovate. Bring your experience and ideas to help us grow by supporting the manufacturing and creation of our aircraft. As an Associate Industrial Engineer at Bell, you can expect to :
- Support new product development and improvements to existing products and processes by coordinating the manufacturing plan, including updates to assembly operations, layouts, component processing, and operational safety as required.
- Review the design of new and existing components and products and recommend changes to improve economy of production and manufacturing efficiency.
- Support outsourcing and / or insourcing initiatives through cross-functional teams to achieve cost reduction, planning, and quality goals.
- Collaborate with shop floor and support functions to help resolve manufacturing problems (mechanical or electrical) that inhibit product delivery.
- Observe and analyze current methods and processes and propose improvements to attain work simplification, standardization, quality improvement, and cost reduction.
- Support data analysis.
- Engage in environmental, employee health and safety and ergonomic efforts.
What You'll Need
A Bachelor's degree or higher with a major in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field is required.
0-2 years of relevant experience.
What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred)
Experience in manufacturing, manufacturing support, or design discipline.Experience in data analysis methodologies including time studies, Six Sigma toolset, data wrangling, statistical processes, and prompt design for language models.Experience in project management, including PMI courses or PMP or CAPM certifications.Exposure to lean principles and continuous improvement.Understanding of Health and Safety Regulations (OHSA).Excellent written and oral communications skills and ability to work effectively within a team.Ability to prioritize a variety of assignments.FAA A&P certificate.Perks of Joining the Team
