Position Purpose :
The Recruiting & Benefits Specialist is responsible for optimizing the HR recruiting and benefits functions to ensure operational excellence, compliance, and a positive team member experience.
Essential Functions :
Recruiting
- Post jobs for all roles other than executive and specialized roles.
- Draft and extend offers in collaboration with the Talent & Compensation Manager.
- Source for most positions as needed and pre-screen as needed.
- Manage all recruiting systems and platforms and own recruiting vendor relationships including recruiting HRIS and job board platforms.
- Work closely with hiring managers to provide process and platform instruction and ensure compliance to our recruiting policies and all employment laws and best practices.
- Ensure all new hire documents are saved to team member profile including offer letter, background check and job description. Ensure all interview and other compliance required documents are uploaded.
- Develop and implement all DEI recruiting processes including all Affirmative Action tasks, DEI reporting, and monitoring and promoting DEI best practices. Find and participate in DEI outreaches and track activities.
- Maintain meaningful metrics and reporting related to recruiting outcomes, including applicant flow, hire cycle time, and early service attrition.
- Remain current with recruiting and sourcing tools and techniques as well as employment law developments and updates.
- Develop and manage online employment branding and sourcing activity.
- Develop deep external networks that generate interest in bank employment opportunities.
- Own and facilitate team member referral program.
- Support overall management of FTE and budgeting process with Talent & Compensation Manager.
Benefits
Manage medical, dental, vision and life insurance vendor relationships and the administration of team member benefit programs, including HSA and FSA programs.Manage wellness program and any wellness vendors.Work closely with our benefits broker to build a strong partnership, to develop in-depth knowledge of our current benefit offerings and how they are performing for our team members, ensure that team members' issues and questions are being resolved and addressing any problems that come up.Coordinate and administer annual Open Enrollment process, including working with our benefits broker to develop compelling and accurate benefit booklets for team members, and scheduling annual Open Enrollment presentations with our benefits partners.Conduct New Hire HR Benefits Orientation and support benefits enrollment for new hires. Track enrollment and remind new hires to enroll.Manage and facilitate all FMLA, ADA and LTD leaves of absence, workers compensation process and programs, ensuring compliance with all Bank, State and Federal laws.Participate in benefits audits and assist with retirement benefit audits.Partner with Payroll to ensure accuracy of payroll deductions managed through our HRIS.Team Member troubleshooting and resolution in collaboration with broker.Support the process for issuing Restricted Stock Awards (RSA's).Set up benefit meetings for all team meetings for education and open enrollment processesAdminister and track the Education Reimbursement program and obtain required approvals.Additional HR Support
Respond to team member requests.Provide operational and systems support as needed.Provide ad hoc additional assistance to HR team.Project and inter-departmental collaboration.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications / Requirements :
3-5 years of progressively responsible HR experience required including experience in benefits and recruiting.Associate's degree or HR certificate preferred.Proven experience operating under pressure with tight timelines and prioritizing multiple projects at once, with a keen attention to detail.Excellent skills in writing, editing, and developing presentation materials required.Thorough knowledge of the processes and procedures related to human resource functional areas.Thorough knowledge of pertinent federal / state employment laws.Ability to effectively deal with rapidly changing organizational issues and manage the impacts of change on the organization, its culture, and employees.Demonstrated effective and professional communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to foster teamwork, collaboration, and open communications at all levels throughout the organization.Strong organizational skills, self-motivation, and the ability to plan, schedule and work both independently and in teams within a service-oriented organization.Experience with Rippling HRIS is a plus.Physical Requirements :
The work requires the ability to operate office machines and equipment, such as personal computers, printers, copying machines and telephones. The work requires the ability to communicate clearly with customers, coworkers, and others in person and on telephones. Work activities involve combinations of sitting / standing for extended periods.
Pay Range
The pay range for this position is $31.48- $53.52The typical hiring range for this position is $31.48 – $36.12The incentive plan for this position is the Support Staff Incentive plan.
