50% Maintenance Technician
Job Purpose
Support the company’s maintenance program by focusing on plant equipment and building maintenance in a manner that meets and complies with all food safety policies and OSHA regulations.
Essential Functions
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical problems with plant equipment (e.g., mechanical drive systems, HVAC, hydraulic and pneumatic systems)
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical problems with plant equipment (e.g., wiring, circuits, fuses, switches, electrical installations, transformers, motors, and AC / DC motor drives)
- Perform preventive maintenance on all plant equipment
- Perform building maintenance and repairs (e.g., air conditioning, lights, forklifts)
- Perform small repairs on equipment to prevent long-term downtime until permanent repairs can be completed
- Report food safety and quality issues to appropriate personnel
- Comply with all food safety requirements, training, policies, and procedures
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
50% Parts Planner
Job Purpose
Manage, order, and process indirect purchase orders for equipment spare parts, operational supplies, and other goods and services needed for daily plant operations. Organize and manage physical inventory and inventory system.
Essential Functions
Maintain maintenance supplies by ordering, tracking, and placing purchase orders and properly coding to correct GL codesInvestigate alternative suppliers for better quality and pricing on supplies, parts, and equipmentWork with current and prospective vendors to determine supply capabilities, transportation logistics, and delivery termsNotify Maintenance Manager regarding overdue materials and parts with the potential to impact repair time framesInspect all tools and parts received, verify part numbers, and check discrepancies such as damaged or unmarked partsRecord and maintain inventory of materials and parts received, stocked, and distributed in the CMMSPerform recordkeeping, filing, cycle counting, and year-end inventory auditsCoordinate stocking of spare parts in parts roomOversee the issue and return of parts and materialsSet up and organize parts room for most efficient storage and distributionPerform housekeeping as needed to ensure parts room is well-maintainedComply with all food safety requirements, training, policies, and proceduresPerform other job-related duties as assignedQualifications (Education, Experience, Competencies)
