Maintenance Technician

Day & Night Shift | 2-2-3 Schedule | 12-Hour Shifts

Location – South Indianapolis, IN

Aegis Worldwide is seeking Maintenance Technicians to join a brand-new, state-of-the-art recycling facility on the south side of Indianapolis. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a growing startup operation with strong long-term stability and career advancement potential.

The Role :

Maintenance Technicians will be responsible for mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, preventative and reactive maintenance, and supporting the installation and startup of brand-new equipment. This is a true multicraft role, requiring skills across hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, and mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities :

Troubleshoot and repair production equipment (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic).

Support equipment installations, modifications, and upgrades.

Perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.

Assist with startup activities, including learning proprietary equipment from OEM suppliers.

Collaborate with vendors and contractors as needed.

Contribute to continuous improvement and plant reliability.

Pitch in with plant support tasks as needed in a startup environment.

Qualifications :

Junior Technician : 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience.

Senior Technician : 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience.

Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical, and electrical systems.

Conveyor and extrusion experience preferred.

Food & Beverage industry background is a plus.

Multicraft skillset required; PLC troubleshooting experience a plus.

Must be adaptable to startup culture and non-climate-controlled environments.

Compensation & Benefits :

Pay Ranges :

Junior Tech : $24–32 / hr

Senior Tech : $27–39 / hr

Bonus : Up to 10% annual performance-based bonus

18 days PTO

Schedule :

Training : Standard day shift (8a–4p, ~2 weeks)

After training : 12-hour 2-2-3 schedule (7a–7p or 7p–7a)
