Overview
ENGINEER ASSOCIATE - (T229590). Under the supervision of division management, assists in the development of viable system and component concepts and designs based on project requirements and assists in conducting field observations and inspections. Supports the preparation and development of technical documents.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering required. Work experience may not substitute for this education requirement.
LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS / REGISTRATIONS :
Driving record should meet University underwriting guidelines to drive vehicle in performance of University business. Current underwriting guidelines include possession of a valid driver's license issued in the United States; at least 21 years of age; at least three years of driving experience; maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Performs duties with general supervision, using established procedures. Occasionally uses independent judgment to solve problems and may recommend improvements. Unusual problems are reported to the supervisor.
Customer Service Relationships
Requires basic people skills and civil communication. Forwards complex complaints to the appropriate person.
Needs moderate communication skills to understand and address customer requests. Acknowledges and clarifies inquiries or complaints.
Physical requirements include : lifting and carrying a minimum of fifty (50) pounds; climbing stairs, ladders and scaffolding, and working at heights above thirty (30) feet; performing tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, and walking significant distances between and within buildings on campus; working in confined spaces; working within extreme temperature ranges.
