Responsibilities

  • Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems under the supervision of a licensed electrician
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams
  • Assist in the installation of electrical components, such as wiring, switches, outlets, Solar panels, Generators, and circuit breakers
  • Perform basic electrical repairs and troubleshooting
  • Follow safety protocols and adhere to electrical codes and regulations
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area

Experience

  • TWO YEARS of previous work experience as a commercial or residential electrician is , or completed coursework at CNM in the Trades Program or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with blueprint reading and understanding technical diagrams
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, including low voltage and power tools
  • Understanding of electrical codes, such as NEC ( Electrical Code)
  • Proficiency in using hand tools for electrical work

    • Skills

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot electrical issues
  • Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and supervisors
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that may require bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods

    • Summary

    As an Electrical Tech, you will be integral to installing and maintaining electrical systems under the guidance of experienced electricians. This role requires proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and electrical troubleshooting while emphasizing safety and adherence to the Electrical Code (NEC). Your core skills are in electrical systems, and communication will be essential as you collaborate on construction sites, read blueprints, and interpret schematics.
