Right at Home, In-Home Care office located in Wallingford, CT is seeking to hire Live-In Caregivers who possess reliable car, drivers license, and insurance to join a dynamic care team providing a professional, comfortable, and supportive experience to our clients' while in their home. Right At Home, In-Home Care is seeking Live-in Caregivers to work in the following targeted locations : Wallingford, Hamden, Middletown, Cromwell, Southington, Plainville, Cheshire, Waterbury, Naugatuck, Middlebury, Watertown, Woodbury, Southbury, Terryville, Plymouth, and Thomaston locations.

Caregiver (Required) Items : No exceptions

• Must be 18 years of age
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must have a reliable car
• Valid Driver's license and auto insurance
• High School diploma or GED
• Must have the ability to pass a full employment background check
• Must have basic computer skills and navigate with little assistance from others

Performs personal care activities that assist the patient with activities of daily living. These could include (but are not limited to) :

Performs patient-specific activities are taught by a Right at Home senior caregiver and / or office staff. These could include (but are not limited to) :

The good news is that your training will teach you everything you need to know to succeed on the job. But there are a few skills you should have from the get-go :

You're never short of a smile and take real pride in your work; cope well under pressure and thrive on a challenge.

You don't mind getting a little dirty...this could include (but not limited to) assistance with eating, personal hygiene, assistance with dressing, shaving, light housekeeping, laundry, and other household chores.

You don't have to be a gourmet chef but you can prepare a good meal and work your way around a kitchen.

You are able to assist the client in many ways, this could include (but are not limited to), medication reminders, assisting with prescribed range of motion exercises, dementia care, companionship activities such as reading, music, puzzles, etc.
