Certificates, licenses and registrations required : MA Certificate of Competency 46 – license for portable fire extinguishers Knowledge of NFPA codes a plus Must maintain a valid drivers license and clean driving record OSHA 10 card Attendance / Punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time; Ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent; Arrives at meetings and appointments on time. Customer Service - Manages difficult or emotional customer situations; Responds promptly to customer needs; Solicits customer feedback to improve service; Responds to requests for service and assistance; Meets commitments. JOB TITLE : Fire Extinguisher Technician
SUMMARY : The Fire Extinguisher Technician inspects portable fire extinguishers and E-Lights for customers. The technician will drive to customer sites to perform inspections on the extinguishers and E-lights.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Test, inspect portable fire extinguishers, installation of new fire extinguishers and swapping out extinguishers due for service
- Inspect, emergency exit lighting systems at customer locations
- Complete inspection reports online
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
