Job Description

As a Security Officer in Coppell, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated retail locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. You will interact with visitors and staff, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within the retail location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting a welcoming environment for guests and staff.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail store and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Observe and report any unusual or suspicious behavior, hazards, or security-related incidents to Allied Universal management and / or client representatives.
  • Support access control by monitoring entrances, exits, and restricted areas, helping to maintain order within the location.
  • Assist with crowd management and line control during high-traffic periods or special events as needed.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal policies and client expectations.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
