Schedule : 4 / 10 or 9 / 80 Work Schedule – 40 Hours / Week
Overview
EGS is seeking a highly skilled Work Control Planner 4 to support maintenance, operations, and modification activities at the Los Alamos National Laboratory . The successful candidate will develop and review comprehensive work packages, ensuring all activities meet safety, technical, and procedural requirements in a secure and mission-critical environment.
This role requires strong technical knowledge, precision in documentation, and the ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams within a regulated facility.
Responsibilities
- Develop and review detailed work packages including :
- Time, material, and labor estimates
- Step-by-step work instructions and safety / testing requirements
- Verification and validation of technical work procedures
- Ensure work activities are executed in compliance with engineering, safety, and facility regulations
- Identify, document, and resolve work restraints or access limitations
- Interface with maintenance, engineering, and operations teams for coordination and planning
- Support procedure updates, safety reviews, and closeout documentation
- Contribute to process improvement and operational efficiency initiatives
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical field8+ years of relevant experience (12+ years preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience)Active Q Clearance and A-level access requiredDemonstrated experience developing and managing technical work packagesExcellent technical writing, organizational, and communication skillsAbility to work onsite in a secure national laboratory environment
