Job Title : Quality Assurance Lab Technician

Job Description

As a Quality Assurance Lab Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring product quality by inspecting incoming ingredients and packaging materials, submitting samples for analysis, and auditing production and blending operations.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming ingredients and packaging materials for conformance to product specifications.
• Submit ingredient samples from current and new suppliers to approved labs for authenticity and pesticide analysis.
• Audit blending operations for conformance to process and packaging specifications.
• Audit production for conformance to process and package specifications.
• Maintain QA record keeping, filing system, and housekeeping programs in the QA areas.
• Perform microbiological plating functions.
• Monitor all aspects of production for compliance with HACCP, GMPs, SQF, and SOPs.
• Verify the calibration and / or calibrate laboratory and operational equipment.

Work Environment

Work in a 24 / 7 manufacturing environment focused on juice production for schools, hospitals, and retail chains. The role requires working in a manufacturing quality laboratory with a heavy workload, involving 5-6 days a week with 12-hour shifts and potential overtime. The environment offers opportunities for longevity, entry-level stability, and growth within the industry.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00 / hr.
