Nature & Purpose of Position :
The First-Year Student Navigator is dedicated to the mission of providing high quality, student-to-student interactions focused on early student engagement to current, prospective, and accepted students that qualify for the FORWARD program and first year students. This position will serve students directly and act as a referral agent to other units and departments as needed. The goal of this position is to ensure students have an advocate and accountability partner to increase student completion. This position will perform duties and responsibilities under the general direction of the Director of First-Year Experience. Additionally, this role will support First-Year Experience (FYE) programming including campus events, retention initiatives, and assist with daily administrative tasks.
