$83,735 to $97,000 depending on experience
Location
On-site position in Vista, CA.
Responsibilities
Supervise Parts Room Technician and daily operations of the maintenance parts room, including receipt, storage, issuing, and restocking of parts and supplies.Process incoming spare parts orders from field technicians, and internal departments.Track and update customers on order status, back-orders, and delivery timelines.Coordinate with procurement and suppliers for restocking, urgent part requests, and lead time optimization.Ensure accurate inventory control through regular cycle counts, audits, and use of a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) or ERP system.Flag and manage obsolete or slow-moving stock.Enter all new spare parts from projects into the CMMS system. Assign new parts ID, criticality levels, and ordering frequency for replenishment.Monitor and maintain minimum and maximum stock levels of critical spare parts to avoid production downtime.Work with Automation, Machine Shop, Engineering, and Production teams to anticipate upcoming parts needs and schedule timely procurement.Centralized purchasing for Automations.Oversee purchasing activities, ensuring cost-effective and timely procurement of quality parts and materials from approved suppliers.Build strong relationships with customers, obtain quotes, and coordinate deliveries for maintenance-related materials, ensuring high levels of service and support.Maintain and update parts cataloging, labeling, and storage organization for quick and easy retrieval.Provide technical support and part identification using machine drawings, Bill of Materials (BOMs), and technical documentation.Train and supervise parts room associate or inventory specialists, ensuring adherence to safety and operational procedures.Supervisor for part time / intern parts scanning specialist.Track and report on inventory metrics, purchase orders, lead times, and cost savings initiatives.Ensure compliance with safety standards, housekeeping, and regulatory requirements in the parts room and storage areas.Maintain proper records of transactions and prepare regular reports on parts usage, sales, and inventory trends.Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize parts room layout, inventory management, and procurement processes.Drive to Dr. Bronner's multiple sites to inspect, organize, and maintain parts rooms and storage areas.Occasionally travel for training sessions, industry trade shows, and local trips to parts suppliers.Other duties as assigned within job scope.Qualifications
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Maintenance, Industrial Technology or related field.5+ years of experience in spare parts or supply chain administration in the packaging or process industry.Experience in a manufacturing environment to include maintenance inventory and MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) parts.Prior experience with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) in manufacturing setting.We understand that not all candidates will meet every qualification and encourage all interested candidates to apply.
