The Opportunity The Law Offices of Samer Habbas & Associates, PC is seeking an empathetic, detail-oriented Pre-litigation Assistant for our Personal Injury team. The perfect candidate for this position has a service mindset and meticulous approach to case management . This position is full-time, Monday through Friday 8 : 30 am - 5 : 00 pm, at our offices located in the Irvine Spectrum. Experience in a legal case management is required for this role.
Responsibilities
- Create relationships with clients and guide them through the case process from intake to settlement
- Monitor cases by verifying client attendance; observing, evaluating and communicating treatments and responses; advocating for needed services and entitlements; obtaining additional resources; intervening in crisis; providing the utmost professional support
- Maintain client records by reviewing case notes, logging events and progress
- Communicates client progress by conducting weekly interdisciplinary meetings and evaluations
- Request medical records; mail, scan and track government claim forms; and manage the resolution of property damage claims
- Draft legal documents such as letters of representation and preservation of evidence
- Ensure client file is complete for demand and potential litigation
- Maintain client confidence by keeping client / attorney information confidential
Requirements
Bachelor's degree preferably in criminal justice, sociology, or related studies2-5 years of case management (pre-litigation) experienceStrong interpersonal and relationship-building capabilitiesAnalytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent telephone customer service etiquette and support, with emphasis on active listening skillsSuperior time management and ability to handle multiple cases and deadlines at onceExcellent communication skills (verbal, listening and written) and effective organization skillsKnowledge of Microsoft Suite and Google WorkspaceCASEpeer / Filevine legal management software experience a plusTeam-oriented and independently capableMaintains consistent attendance to support the team's productivity and efficiencyA strong desire to expand knowledge of personal injury lawBenefits
