Colorado Springs Cardiology is a rapidly growing cardiovascular clinic dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-focused heart care. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nuclear Technologist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering high-quality diagnostic and therapeutic imaging that directly impacts patient outcomes.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare, administer, and measure radioactive isotopes for diagnostic, therapeutic, and tracer studies under physician direction.
- Operate and maintain specialized imaging equipment to produce SPECT and PET scans for physician interpretation.
- Perform cardiac imaging procedures to detect and assess abnormalities.
- Take patient histories, explain procedures, answer questions, and ensure patient comfort and safety throughout each exam.
- Calculate, measure, and document radiation dosages and radiopharmaceuticals.
- Conduct quality control checks, calibrate laboratory equipment, and maintain accurate records.
- Safely handle and dispose of radioactive materials in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Support departmental accreditation by maintaining thorough records and assisting with compliance.
What We’re Looking For
Certification and current licensure as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB or ARRT-N).Experience with SPECT and PET imaging, especially in cardiac care, preferred.Strong technical skills with imaging equipment and quality control procedures.Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.Attention to detail and commitment to safety and compliance.Why Join Us?
