Thermal Engineering - Summer 2026

Overview

Job Type : Internship. Salary : $24.00 per hour.

As a Thermal Engineering intern at Lunar Outpost, you will gain experience and training in Aerospace Thermal Analysis, familiarity with practical space / lunar environment heat transfer principles, aerospace thermal hardware, and thermal testing. Interns will use the NASA standard thermal analysis tool, Thermal Desktop, to perform real-world thermal modeling and analysis tasks in support of Lunar Outpost's flight projects focused on the expanding cis-lunar economy. All interns will work directly alongside full-time engineers on real, engaging, and impactful projects, providing tangible value to Lunar Outpost products. This offers an end-to-end experience that promotes collaboration at every stage of autonomous robotic development.

Responsibilities

• Perform real-world thermal modeling and analysis tasks using Thermal Desktop in support of flight projects.
• Collaborate with full-time engineers on aerospace thermal hardware and testing activities.
• Contribute to end-to-end design and development processes in autonomous robotic systems.

Qualifications

Details : Mid-May (May 18, 2026) to early August (August 7, 2026). Start and end dates are flexible with the school schedule. In-person, Monday - Friday in Arvada, Colorado.
