Simulation Engineering - Summer 2026

Overview

Salary : $24.00 per hour

As a Simulation Engineering at Lunar Outpost, you will play a crucial role in the development and enhancement of simulation models used to test our robotic systems under various scenarios. This will provide you with a comprehensive view of the simulation process in robotic systems development, from conceptual modeling to the detailed analysis of results. All interns will work directly alongside full-time engineers on real, engaging, and impactful projects, providing tangible value to Lunar Outpost products. This offers a truly end-to-end experience that promotes collaboration at every stage of autonomous robotic development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain simulation models for robotic systems using mathematical models
• Develop tools for analyzing simulation model performance and accuracy
• Conduct simulations to test the performance and reliability of robotic mechanisms and software algorithms
• Collaborate with software and hardware engineers to gather requirements and verify model accuracy
• Analyze simulation data to identify and resolve discrepancies in system behavior
• Document simulation procedures, results, and insights to guide future designs and improvements

Qualifications

Mid-May (May 18, 2026) to early August (August 7, 2026). Start and end dates are flexible with the school schedule. In-person, Monday - Friday in Arvada, Colorado.
