About us :

As a Federally Qualified Health Center in Northern California with over 45 years of dedicated service to the community, LifeLong serves over 66,000 patients in the East Bay Area's socio-economically underserved regions. We provide medical, dental, behavioral health, and school-based services at more than 15 primary care sites across Oakland, Berkeley, and West Contra Costa County. We are innovative and responsive to social and medical needs, from opening a residential respite program for homeless persons discharged from hospitals to offering free COVID testing. Benefits :

Compensation : $250,000-$265,000 / year, depending on experience, with a sign-on bonus, and excellent benefits including medical, dental, vision, Flexible Spending Accounts, dependent and domestic partner coverage, 403(b) retirement plan, loan repayment programs (HPSA score 21), and commuter benefits. Acceptance rates for loan repayment vary based on funding and applicant volume.

Responsibilities :

• Responsibility, authority, and accountability for program administration, operations, teaching, scholarly activity, resident recruitment, evaluation, promotion, disciplinary actions, supervision, and inpatient care.
• Demonstrate dedication to residency education and professionalism.
• Design and operate the program aligned with community needs, LifeLong’s mission, and accreditation standards.
• Maintain a conducive learning environment across all ACGME competency domains.
• Approve or remove faculty and site directors, develop evaluation processes for candidates.
• Remove residents from substandard supervision or learning environments.
• Ensure accurate reporting to DIO, GMEC, and ACGME.
• Foster a safe environment for residents to raise concerns and report mistreatment without fear.
• Ensure compliance with policies on grievances, non-discrimination, and resident verification.
• Hire, mentor, and evaluate faculty, overseeing educational activities and annual performance reviews.
• Lead efforts to maintain accreditation, participate in budgeting, and promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA).
