If so, the Hilton Milwaukee is the perfect place for you! We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our dynamic team and contribute to the exceptional guest experience we're known for. As a Cook II you will be responsible for maintaining and setting up food production and quality control of all meat, fish, fowl, sauces, stocks, seasonings, and other food items prepared in a specific station.

Connected to the newly expanded Baird Center, the Hilton Milwaukee is Milwaukee’s largest hotel. What you will be doing :

  • Prepare station-specific food items according to recipes, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Monitor product storage, portion sizes, and special items like stocks and sauces.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in all areas to meet Health Department regulations.
  • Ensure equipment is clean, sanitized, and operational.
  • Uphold high standards of food production and presentation.
  • Maintain personal hygiene and sanitation practices.
  • Manage station setup, breakdown, and prep work.
  • Follow recipe specifications for all food preparation.

What we are looking for :

  • Previous cooking experience required, 1-2 years in a similar position preferred, Culinary or Apprenticeship program preferred.
  • High school diploma preferred.
  • Must be able to work a varied schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Sufficient manual dexterity of hand in order to use all kitchen equipment, i.e., knives, spoons, spatulas, tongs, slicers, etc.
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull weights up to 100 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, work in a confined space with high levels of noise and frequent interruptions, and perform duties within extreme temperature ranges.
  • Ability to obtain any local, state or federal license or certification for sanitation, liquor service, or food service certification.
