OHSU has three missions : healing, teaching, and discovery. In the School of Nursing, these focus to optimize health, prepare nurse leaders, and transform health care. Infusing these is a fourth : to become a trauma-informed and truly anti-racist institution. The School of Nursing has made the same commitment. The program director is a doctorally-prepared and specialty certified faculty member who meets state and national standards for licensure in the APRN specialty at the OHSU School of Nursing. This leadership role has input, responsibility, and oversight for program structure and operations to ensure academic excellence that adheres to Oregon statutes and regulations and national accreditation standards for APRN education and practice. This is an in-person position based in Portland.
This is a 1.0 FTE position. 0.5 FTE is allotted to the program director position duties. The remaining 0.5 FTE may be a combination of all, some or one of the following : teaching, scholarship, clinical practice in one of our faculty practices. This portion of the FTE will be negotiated with the School of Nursing Assistant Dean for Advanced Practice Nursing.
