Labor & Employment Attorney Position Overview

We are seeking a Labor and Employment Attorney with at least 2 years of experience to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a foundation in advising employers on labor and employment matters and assisting with related litigation. This is an excellent opportunity to build hands-on experience, work on a variety of complex issues, and receive strong mentorship while developing a well-rounded practice in both advisory and litigation work.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal counsel to employers on a wide range of labor and employment matters, including wrongful termination, wage and hour issues, FEHA, employee classification, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and workplace safety.
• Represent clients in employment-related litigation, including state and federal court cases, arbitration, and mediation.
• Draft and review employment policies, employee handbooks, and employment agreements.
• Advise on compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
• Assist with labor relations, including union organizing, collective bargaining, and grievance handling.
• Conduct internal investigations related to employee complaints, harassment, and misconduct.
• Negotiate settlements and dispute resolutions on behalf of clients.
• Prepare and file motions, responses, and other legal documents related to employment litigation.
• Stay current on changes in employment laws and regulations to ensure clients’ compliance and provide proactive legal advice.
• Train and educate clients on legal best practices in the workplace, including employee management and compliance.
