As the backbone of recommerce™, Tersus partners with leading outdoor, athletic, luxury, and footwear brands to provide full-suite textile reclamation, repair, upcycling, recycling, and logistics solutions. Tersus also sets a new standard in PPE care, utilizing its CO2 cleaning process to offer unmatched care for firefighter gear, far exceeding the carcinogen removal rate of traditional cleaning methods for safer, more comfortable gear. Additionally, Tersus reclaims and recycles down from apparel, bedding, and gear, extending the life of valuable materials and reducing waste.

Position Overview

Tersus Solutions is a worldwide leader in advanced laundry technology, operating the most environmentally friendly and effective method for cleaning textiles available today. We are seeking skilled Repair Technicians to join our growing team. This full-time position requires expertise in industrial sewing and technical repair of outdoor soft goods including jackets, backpacks, tents, and sleeping bags.

Position Type

Full-time (40 hours per week)

Key Responsibilities

Technical Repairs

  • Perform high-quality sewn repairs on outdoor soft goods including jackets, backpacks, tents, and sleeping bags
  • Complete technical repairs efficiently while maintaining exceptional quality standards
  • Maintain meticulous attention to detail throughout all repair processes
  • Ensure all work meets company quality and safety standards

Equipment Operation & Maintenance

  • Operate and maintain industrial sewing machines (Juki and other industrial equipment)
  • Perform routine maintenance on sewing equipment
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise

    • Collaboration & Problem-Solving

  • Work collaboratively with team members to identify solutions for unique repair challenges
  • Communicate effectively about project status and technical issues
  • Share knowledge and techniques with team members

    • Requirements : Technical Skills

  • Proven experience operating industrial sewing machines
  • Strong sewing skills with ability to work quickly without sacrificing accuracy or quality
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to technical detail
  • High level of technical proficiency and willingness to learn new techniques

    • Work Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods during shift
  • Capable of lifting materials and equipment as needed
  • Attention to safety protocols and quality standards

    • Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience with outdoor gear repair
  • Familiarity with technical fabrics and outdoor gear construction
  • Background in apparel manufacturing or repair services

    • Schedule

    Monday through Friday with the following shift options :

  • 6 : 00 AM – 2 : 30 PM
  • 7 : 00 AM – 3 : 30 PM
  • 8 : 00 AM – 4 : 30 PM

    • Compensation

    Pay : $20.00 – $21.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications
