Supply Chain Manager

Talis Group’s client is a global chemical manufacturer leading the market with its cutting-edge technology.  This fast-growing company is hiring a Supply Chain Manager with Purchasing experience to lead the Customer Service, Production Planning, Inventory Control, and Shipping / Receiving teams for their Louisville plant. This position will be responsible for strategic raw material purchasing as well as MRO and capital equipment. The company is very strong financially and publicly traded with future expansion plans in this location.

Salary $110-$120k with strong bonus potential!

HIGHLIGHTED DUTIES :

• Responsible for leading the Customer Service, Production Planning, Logistics and Purchasing areas.
• Mentor, coach, manage and develop supply chain staff to meet customer demands and company metrics.
• Develop strategy for purchasing raw materials, considering quality, pricing, payment terms, delivery, etc.
• Identify and qualify new suppliers and ensure all suppliers meet quality standards and have the capacity to provide quality products.
• Develop and implement processes to ensure material flow meets demands.
• Develop and implement improvements to increase efficiency in supply chain.
• Analyze market to ensure company has adequate resources and an effective supply chain.
• Ensure supplier management systems are in place to meet company goals.
• Ensure compliance with all quality and delivery regulations.
• Ensure inventory accuracy to avoid material shortages.
• Negotiate pricing and contracts for raw materials, equipment, service and transportation.
• Prepare and process purchase orders and requisitions for materials and carriers.
• Build and maintain vendor relationships.
• Occasional travel to regional sites.
