Responsibilities Position based in the Operating Room of a hospital setting Day shifts available : 3x12 hours (6 : 00-19 : 00 or 11 : 59-23 : 30) Patient care includes general OR cases as well as bariatrics, ENT, neurology, orthopedics, and urology Specialized procedures performed include total joints, spine, craniotomy, free flaps, cyto reduction, bariatric, and ENT / OMF cases Required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity Weekend requirement is one shift per six-week schedule Six on-call shifts per six-week schedule Scrub color is ceil blue Flu vaccine required for all staff Responsibilities include circulating and assisting in advanced operating room cases Required to complete orientation and modules prior to start, with average module time of 12 hours Team-based environment with staff and traveler support No RTO allowed within the first two weeks of the assignment and up to 7 days time off allowed during a 13 week contract Local candidates within 60 miles are accepted Manager interview is optional and may not be conducted Dress code requires ceil blue scrubs Requirements Active DC RN license or proof of pending licensure required at time of consideration and must be in hand before start date Minimum of two years recent OR RN experience required BCLS certification required; ACLS preferred Experience with general OR, bariatrics, ENT, neurology, orthopedic, and urology procedures required Unit accepts first-time travelers with appropriate experience Two supervisor references required from the past two years Return staff must have been separated for at least one year to be eligible Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-618585.
