Responsibilities :
The Onboarding Assistant will support the U.S. Talent Acquisition team across all areas of recruitment. Specifically, helping to manage the onboarding cycle for new hires from the acceptance of the offer through the employees’ first day of employment. This individual will work closely with multiple recruiters and provide customized support for the talent acquisition process.
The Onboarding Assistant will need to be collaborative; skilled in providing excellent support to candidates, recruiters and leaders; interact with staff at all levels in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure; remain flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
Deliver excellent experience for candidates and business leaders throughout the entire recruitment processProvide ownership of the new hire onboarding and act as point of contact for newly hired employees to ensure successful completion of all required pre-employment requirementsMonitor pre-employment screening for all finalist candidatesEstablish effective working relationships with key business partners including business leaders, HR business partners, compliance, legal, relocation and immigrationBe the liaison to the New Employee Orientation programManage and maintain the interview suites positively reflecting the company brandIndependently oversee the hiring process by monitoring candidate status within the applicant tracking system (Workday)Independently oversee the background check and screening process in Sterling / First AdvantageProactively anticipate and identify opportunities for improving candidate onboarding process efficienciesMonitor the candidate expenses process and ensure compliance to travel guidelinesEscalate troubleshooting investigations of talent acquisition processes to the GTA Lead
