Job Summary : The Emergency Management Logistics Chief is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing all logistical operations that support emergency management and disaster response activities.

This position ensures the timely procurement, delivery, and accountability of personnel, equipment, supplies, and services necessary for incident response, recovery, and continuity operations.

The Logistics Chief plays a key leadership role in supporting operational readiness, resource management, and interagency coordination during emergencies and planned events.

Job Description / Essential Functions :

Emergency Operations & Incident Support

• Serve as the Logistics Section Chief within the Incident Command System (ICS) during emergencies and exercises.
• Direct and coordinate logistics operations including facilities, transportation, supply, equipment, communications, and resource management.
• Ensure all logistical support activities comply with the National Incident Management System (NIMS) and agency emergency operations plans.
• Maintain situational awareness of resource needs and provide status reports to the Incident Commander or Emergency Operations Center (EOC) Director.
• Manage staging areas, base camps, points of distribution (PODs), and resource reception centers.
