Job Description : Director of Operations and Compactor Integration
Reports to : VP of Operations and Integration
Type : Full-time
Job Duties :
- Manage the full operations of the Wheatland facility.
- Ensure the full integration and success of the Compactor line of business.
- Work in coordination with Shop Supervisors and Plant Manager to ensure all team members are meeting are production goals.
- Work with the Operations team to optimize performance across all production lines.
- Ensure improvement in productivity and expansion
- Work closely with all departments to ensure the production of the facilities is operating efficiently.
- Ensure that quantity and quality are always up to company standards.
- Ensure safety procedures and policies are being followed by all team members.
- Plan production needs ahead of schedule, including materials, headcount, etc.
- Participate in formulating and administering company policies and developing long-range goals and objectives for the good of the company.
- Review analyses of activities, cost, operations and forecast data to determine progress toward stated goals and objectives.
- Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product.
- Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department or work crew.
- Initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
- Confer with the production operations manager to coordinate activities of the daily schedules.
- Oversee any special project to see it is built to company standards.
- Work closely with customers to redesign units to align product performance and features with market needs.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE
Need to have 7 to 10 years of Office and Manufacturing experience, waste industry knowledge is necessary for this position.To have knowledge of fabricating containers from beginning to end, specifically Compactor style containers.Able to read a tape measure.Able to make shop decisions on the spot.Have computer knowledge along with the ability to assist others.Experience in purchasing steel and / or materials used in our industry.Experience in the fabrication department. shears, rolls, press brake, CNC controlled burner, and CNC controlled saws.Safety training and be able to conduct safety meetings.Knowledge of trucking rules and regulations.
