Job Description : Overview

Manage and assist skilled craft workers in performing their assigned duties under close supervision. Usually an entry level position as the first step to learn a skill.

Job Duties

Manage field crew in day to day production of projects Exhibit a high level of safety consciousness and a clear understanding of equipment safety Order tools and equipment Interpret blueprints / plans and construct accordingly Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals Provide leadership to others through example

Requirements

Five (5) years of experience managing crews on highway projects Lift, push, or pull and move up to seventy (70) pounds Climb, kneel, twist, and bend in a various environments Manual dexterity sufficient to reach / handle items and work with the fingers Be able to communicate in English via verbal and written communications Valid driver license for occasional, required travel Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with abstract and concrete variables Ability to physically maneuver by foot minor obstacles at construction projects Work outdoors with exposure to changing weather conditions such as rain, sun, snow, and wind
